Questions clients ask

For clients

How do I post a job?

Sign in, open your dashboard and create a job under a project: the trade and service, what you need, your budget or rate, the dates and where it is. The AI assistant can draft the job with you.

How do I choose a vendor?

Vendors in that trade send bids with their price, milestones, start date and terms. Bids from vendors who meet everything you asked for are shown first. Compare them, message a bidder, and award the one you want.

Can I hire a vendor directly?

Yes. From a vendor's page you can send them a job directly; only they can bid on it.

What happens after I award a bid?

The bid's terms and milestones become the contract, and you fund the first milestone. The vendor joins your project, where the work, the files and the conversation live.

Payments & escrow

How does escrow work?

The client funds a milestone before the work on it starts. The money is held until the client approves that milestone, and then released to the vendor.

What if the client and vendor disagree?

A milestone's money stays in escrow until the client approves it. If you cannot agree, contact our support team: they review the job, the messages and the evidence with both sides.

Can a milestone be refunded?

Money held for a milestone whose work is not delivered can be returned to the client. Contact our support team; the Payments, refunds & disputes policy explains how it is decided.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Card payments, processed by Stripe. Vendors are paid out through Stripe to their own bank account.
